Lazada Express Same-day Delivery Expands in Malaysia
Lazada Malaysia launched its same-day express delivery April this year has expanded its express service to Penang and expanding beyond the Klang Valley and metropolitans to rural areas.
The delivery express logistics in Malaysia are supported by 2 Fulfilment Centres. The newest Fulfilment Centre located in Subang Jaya, is 16 times bigger than their first warehouse and a 14,000 sq ft warehouse in Kuching, Sarawak to support the East Malaysian market.
The e-commerce space in Malaysia, and in South-East Asia as a whole, is heating up, so are the competition and challenges. The intensifying competition is also seeing price wars, but Ressel believes that there are other areas that e-commerce players should look into to attract more customers.
These would include being able to offer original warranties, quicker delivery including same-day delivery, and good return policies.
Lazada Group announced it recorded US$1.3 billion worth of annualised Gross Merchant Value (GMV) across its six markets in South-East Asia: Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
