SINGAPORE Post (SingPost) customers can expect better and faster delivery of e-commerce shipments between Asia and Europe come end-September.
The local postal service provider has signed a strategic collaboration agreement with Luxembourg-based postal company POST Luxembourg to provide end-to-end e-commerce logistics solutions between the two continents.
The two companies said in a joint announcement on Wednesday: “POST Luxembourg will be a new European gateway for SingPost and SingPost will be POST Luxembourg’s new gateway to Asia.”
Customers of POST Luxembourg and SingPost will be able to do end-to-end tracking of e-ommerce shipments. Delivery times will also be more predictable. All of these are expected to increase customer satisfaction, said the two partners.
Mervyn Lim, covering group chief executive officer of SingPost, said: “This collaboration underscores SingPost’s strength in forging close working ties with partners around the world that enhance our global e-commerce logistics ecosystem.” -The Business Times
