Bike Sharing Services in Traffic Congested Cities

India’s Hyderabad-based startup introduce a first ride sharing application ‘getmi’ to get commuters around fast in traffic congested cities using motorbikes.
Founded by Shravya Reddy, getmi app offers bike ride sharing services across Hyderabad. The app can be used by those who want to travel from one place to the other on a hired shared bike or who want to earn by offering a ride on their bike.
The startup, which started operations in May 2016, was officially launched on Sunday have more than 5,000 rides have been taken by the users.
“Travelling from home to workplace has become an ordeal in Hyderabad with journey taking hours. The journey time gets even longer, if one uses a car. Also we observed that many two-wheeler riders travel single. We wanted to make time taken for travelling to workplace and within city, quicker and economical,” explained Shravya.
getmi also has 50 full time bike drivers that provide rides to companies in B2B category. Getmi bike riders provide services to Apollo Health care, Foodmingo and other companies. -IndianExpress
