Flying Car Startup Terrafugia just got Acquired by Volvo Owner Geely

SANTA CLARA, California, November 16, 2017 /PRNewswire/ —

This week flying car start up Terrafugia was acquired by Chinese automotive group Geely. Founded in 2006, the company was one of the first to focus on flying cars and the acquisition now provides the company access to global markets.

Terrafugia Cofounder and CTO Dr Carl Dietrich opened the event covering their vision and innovation which is helping to make flying cars a reality, with first product expected to be available in 2019.

Terrafugia showcased it’s flying car at the recent IDTechEx Show!.

Over 3,500 people were expected to attend the IDTechEx Show!  The event featured 253 exhibitors showcasing technologies including the latest innovations in sensors, energy storage, energy harvesting, electric vehicles, IoT, printed electronics, 3D printing and materials.
