Jaguar Land Rover updates Range Rover with Semi-Autonomous Tech

Jaguar Land Rover is updating its Range Rover next year with new semi-autonomous and connected car features

Standard driver assistance technologies will include Rear Park Distance Control, Cruise Control and Speed Limiter, Lane Departure Warning and Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB).

For buyers who are looking additional semi-autonomous functions, JLR offer ‘Drive Pack’ and ‘Drive pro’ Options.

Range Rover customers that need to tow can also fit Advanced Tow Assist as an option. This technology uses the vehicle’s existing Surround Camera System to help guide a trailer into position. Advanced Tow Assist is also able to automatically steer the Range Rover to follow the path selected by the driver using the dash-mounted rotary Terrain Response selector.

The InControl Connect Pro includes access to a series of new app services including the ability to remotely control vehicle functions such as activating the climate control to cool or heat the car ready for departure, set and deactivate the alarm, and start the engine. The app will alert owners if their vehicle alarm has been triggered.
