Italian Designed Electric Scooters

There’s much to like about scooters when it comes to urban mobility. They are cheap. They are economical to run. And they take up very little space on our roads. The main downside is that they contribute disproportionately to local air quality issues. (Though not quite as much as some people would claim, assuming they use a 4-stroke engine.)
That’s why electric scooters are a thing to be celebrated.
Vmoto’s electric scooters have been around for quite some time. Founded in 2002, Vmoto builds its Italian-designed scooters in Nanjing, China at a factory with capacity of 300,000 scooters per year. They feature three main models as follows—with pricing taken from vmoto-uk:
The V120L: 45-50 miles of range, a top speed of 40mph and 5 to 6 hours to charge it.
The V120L+: designed for the delivery market with 93-99 miles of range, a top speed of 40mph, 8-9 hours to charge.
The City 80 L: 28-30 miles of range, a top speed of 28mph, and 3.5 hours to charge. It even has a removable battery for indoor charging for city apartment dwellers!
In the meantime, I suspect they may become an increasingly common sight in London. Robert Llewellyn of Fully Charged took the City 80 L for a ride. And the experience was much to his liking. -Treehugger
