oBike expands its free-floating bike-sharing services to Kota Kinabalu, the second city in Malaysia.
oBike in Kota Kinabalu
oBike, a technology-based Singapore company that focuses on a one-way ‘free-floating’ first-and last-mile stationless bike-sharing service, was officially launched in Kota Kinabalu on 5 june.
Kota Kinabalu is the second Malaysian city to enjoy this bicycle sharing service, after Klang Valley’s launch in April 2017. Within two months of its launch in Klang Valley, oBike has garnered more than ten thousand users, and changed the way they travelled.

To join the oBike network, interested users can simply download the oBike mobile app from the App Store or Google Play and register with a phone number. Upon registration, users are required to pay a one-time refundable deposit fee of RM129.00 for joining the network. All oBike users are also covered by insurance.
Limited Time Offer
In conjunction with the launch, oBike will be offering two times of 15 minutes free ride every day for all Kota Kinabalu users, from 5 June 2017 to 18 June 2017. In addition, deposit rate during this promo period will be only RM69 for all users, and RM29 for students.
